I should have a lot to say. After all, in the past couple of weeks, I attended the LA Art Show and the Palm Springs Art Show. Maybe I was overwhelmed with so much art. Or, maybe I am underwhelmed.

@LA artist Jackson Pollock?…a mystery

Sure, I saw some good stuff. But there was nothing at either show, that prompted me to say “If money were no object...” Nor did I have the urge to say “This is sh*#!” I really didn’t have a lot to say.

But, having not said that, I did end my Weeks of Art with a sense of well-being. There are so many creatives, curators, and collectors. All are working hard because they love art. Looking at the whole experience, I am in awe at the breadth of artistic expression. So many original voices. So much to say.

Jacki, thank you so much for expressing in words how I have felt attending many art shows. Being one who likes to create art, I wonder sometimes what the person was thinking when they produced the pieces. I'd like to have been a fly on the wall (so to speak) and watch while they worked. Were they really serious, or did they think "what the heck...let''s see if I can pull it off". What fun to contemplate.
